Glenwood Hot Springs Announces Seasoned Professionals to Senior Management

Team will oversee new Spa of the Rockies, renovated Athletic Club, remodeled Lodge, along with the well-known Hot Springs Pool.

Glenwood Springs, CO, September 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Glenwood Hot Springs (formerly known as Hot Springs Lodge & Pool) announces four new leaders to the senior management team this year. To complement the highly anticipated spa opening and athletic club expansion, the Glenwood Hot Springs has assembled four experts, in their respective fields, to complete the senior management team and guide the business into its next era as community and industry leaders.

Barbara Clarke was hired as Director of Sales & Marketing for the entire Glenwood Hot Springs resort. A 25-year ace in the tourism industry, Clarke brings a depth of knowledge and expertise to her position. She will work closely with each revenue center to develop strategic programs to keep the Glenwood Hot Springs top of mind for visitors and area residents.

Laura Ensey is the Manager of the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge. With over a decade of experience implementing successful strategies for lodging properties with 100 rooms or more, Ensey’s talents are vital to the continued success and guest services at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge.

Avalon Lionheart is appointed the Spa Director for the brand new Spa of the Rockies at the Glenwood Hot Springs. A passionate devotee and award-winning leader of wellness and healing, Lionheart will supervise the daily operations and develop specialized treatments and spa packages to bestow a sense of balance for the Spa of the Rockies clientele.

Mark Volf has been named the new Athletic Director for the Glenwood Hot Springs Athletic Club. As a trained health and fitness administrator, Volf’s enthusiasm for state-of-the-art equipment and certified instructors will offer existing and new members as well as visitors a wide range of individual maintenance and conditioning opportunities.

Glenwood Hot Springs will be completing the new Spa of the Rockies in October 2008. This wellness center will preserve the established history of natural health practices at the resort. The full-service spa will feature eight massage therapy rooms and one hydrotherapy treatment room. In addition, the facility will include manicure stations, pedicure thrones and five tubs dedicated to mineral baths and herbal soaks.
