American Girls in Islamic Country

The Little Travelers travel series for children heads to Indonesia for its second episode. Three and five year old sisters, Chantelle and Nakia, explore the island of Bali and make friends with local children, feed bananas to wild monkeys, meet Balinese dancers and visit a Balinese home.

Laguna Hills, CA, September 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Little Travelers Productions presents its second travel DVD in a multiple series. In the first episode, two young girls from Laguna Hills, California pack their bags and head to Japan for 3 months. In the second episode they venture to Indonesia, where the worlds’ largest population of Muslims live. This episode focuses on the island of Bali, however, which is primarily Hindu.

The Little Travelers meet with Balinese dancers, feed bananas to monkeys in the monkey park, fly kites with local children in the rice fields, visit a Balinese home, play on the beautiful beaches and get into a little mischief as well.

With current trends on raising global citizens, children benefit immensely from having concrete knowledge of other countries and cultures. The feature length DVDs are non-fiction, non-scripted experiences that focus on interaction with the native culture and peoples. Each episode is concentrated on one country and narrated by the children in the DVD. Bonus features include a language lesson by native speaking children.

Little Travelers Productions was founded by Angelina Hart, a teacher and Child Development Specialist with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and extensive travel experience. Her vision is to create products for children that dig deep into each culture focusing on daily life and relationships rather than abstract facts and statistics. “I want to inspire people to be a little more daring in their travels with their children. Children are so adaptable and we can learn so much from their interactions with others, particularly if they speak another language. Adults are so much more self-conscious than children are. It is so beautiful to become an observer of the true spirit of connection that children have for each other with complete disregard to history or background.”

Little Travelers Productions realizes that many families will never travel to the countries in the series. Only 4% of US travelers travel outside of the US according to recent accounts.
