Video Game Version of Beer Pong to be Featured at San Diego Film Festival

Las Vegas, NV, September 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- No longer confined to frat house basements, the popular college party game “Beer Pong” has evolved from a drinking game to an actual competitive sport —and even into a documentary film. “Last Cup—Road to the World Series of Beer Pong” will be featured at the San Diego Film Festival, which runs September 25-28. JV Games Inc. developer of the surprisingly controversial video game version of the sport, Frat Party Games – Pong Toss™, has announced they will be joining the festivities and will be featured in 944 Magazine’s A-List Lounge at the Gas lamp Theatre. The video game version of the game will be set up Thursday-Saturday so guests can experience the virtual game for themselves.

Released mid-summer for download, Frat Party Games – Pong Toss™ rose the hackles of many groups who felt the game encouraged binge drinking, in spite of the fact that the game play revolves solely around the competitive nature of the game: tossing ping-pong balls into cups and trying to beat one’s opponent.

It is only coincidence that JV Games is located in Las Vegas—the same place where the World Series of Beer Pong takes place. “We just found out about each other a few months ago,” says Jag Jaeger, JV Games VP. “But we’re thrilled to be joining them at the San Diego Film Festival. We’re excited to let people try out the game—and hopefully we can help the movie get some more exposure as well.”

Featuring two distinct competitive games, Frat Party Games – Pong Toss™ offers a traditional tournament-style game of Pong Toss for two to four players and Speed Pong, during which one to three players compete at the same time, each trying to be the first to eliminate all of his or her cups.

JV Games is an electronic entertainment company that develops computer, console, and handheld video games. Headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, JV Games has been developing premier titles since 1989.
