In 2007 site designer and owner, June Nery, was planning a two month trip to La Manzanilla for herself and her family. She explains, “When I started researching La Manzanilla; where to stay, how to get here, restaurants and things to do, I found the information on the web extremely limited and difficult to come by.”
After deciding to make La Manzanilla her permanent home she started building a website designed to meet the needs of visitors to the area. The site is now live and updated regularly providing timely and relevant information about La Manzanilla.
Along with general information the site features an events calendar, vacation rental listings searchable by number of rooms and location, business directory, newsletter sign-up, recent press mentions, photos and information about community events.
As part of the overall marketing plan for the website a monthly newsletter was just launched. VisitLaManzanilla.com also supports local non-profit groups by offering free publicity and sponsorship.
