International Fashion and Swimsuit Model, Valentina, Joins Shark Diving International for Great White Shark Expedition in August

Valentina, international fashion and swimsuit model, and cameraman Mark Chapman will join the team of Shark Diving International this August for a White Shark expedition to Isla Guadalupe, Mexico.

Alameda, CA, June 02, 2006 --(PR.com)-- International swimsuit and fashion model, Valentina, will travel with cameraman Mark Chapman, the team from Shark Diving International and 16 lucky shark fans aboard the vessel Solmar V for a seven-day White Shark expedition to Isla Guadalupe, Mexico from August 25 to September 1, 2006.

Valentina, a Danish girl who made California her home, is an avid scuba diver and advocate for shark conservation. Her passion for protecting sharks increased as she learned more about the destruction and cruelty they endure due to fining and contest killing. “Before I tried scuba diving for the first time, you couldn’t drag me into the water, but once I did it I was hooked,” says Valentina. “I saw 14 sharks on my first dive! The way they moved through the water was like a ballet. They were so graceful and beautiful. I wish I could move like that! I truly felt honored to be in their presence.”

Valentina has dived in world-renown locations, participated in Whale Shark tagging research and is ready to face the ultimate shark - the Great White. “I want to show people that anyone can do this, and they should do this because sharks are amazing. I’m ready to see White sharks. I’m more excited than nervous, really. Lawrence (CEO of Shark Diving International) has the most experience of anyone out there, so I feel completely safe and confident that this will be a fantastic trip.”

Valentina calls this a working vacation of sorts. She will be producing a film project during the expedition and is also looking forward to meeting the other guests on board. “I love meeting new people, especially people who care about the same things I do like scuba diving and sharks.”

The trip is open to the public, ages 13 and older. A parent or guardian must accompany minors. No scuba certification is necessary.
