Inabata America Corporation Introduces New Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Made by Seiko Epson Corp. to Link In-Home Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation made easier with new strapless heart rate monitor from Intervent.

San Diego, CA, January 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Seiko Epson Corp.’s recent advancement in heart rate monitoring is currently changing the face of cardiac rehabilitation by introducing the first strapless heart rate monitor that has a continuous and accurate wrist top.

The heart rate monitor uses a finger sensor attached to a small wire. The wire creates a link for data collection for prescribed off-site exercise programs and allows the information to be downloaded into a personal computer and then sent to the user’s primary care physician. This will enhance medical communications and increase the patient’s comfort and confidence in the rehabilitation program by allowing in-home exercise program prescriptions to be updated when necessary.

“Let’s face it, when a patient comes home from the hospital after a heart attack, and after being so closely monitored for a period of time, they are probably a bit unsettled,” says Harald Zundel, Executive at Inabata. “The Intervent Advanced Heart Rate Monitor provides them the confidence and security to monitor their heart rate during in-home exercising and allows them to continue their life long cardiac rehabilitation”.

The important thing is to stay in touch with the doctor. Set up a safe exercise program that includes, quitting smoking (if necessary), lowering cholesterol, and following a heart-healthy diet. Studies show that daily exercising for thirty minutes a day that will decrease the heart rate and will also reduce the risk of having another heart attack.

The product includes the Heart Rate Monitor, USB charging and docking cradle, rechargeable battery, USB cable, AC/DC adapter & cable, and 3 Neoprene finger sleeves of different sizes.
