Telerik Reveals Its Plans for 3d Charts in RadControls for Silverlight

Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and user interface components for .NET announced the work in progress on its own Silverlight 2 3D engine.

Sofia, Bulgaria, February 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and user interface components for .NET announced the work in progress on its own Silverlight 2 3D engine. The 3D engine will be first implemented in the upcoming RadChart for Silverlight. The new 3D functionality, together with the animated, fully customizable RadGauge and RadChart, empower enterprise application developers to rapidly create high performing, interactive, and powerful Business Intelligence applications.

The unique Telerik 3D engine for Silverlight 2 will make changing of perspective and lightning possible, pushing the boundaries of the data visualization capabilities of RadControls for Silverlight.

Being based on Microsoft’s Silverlight technology, Telerik 3D RadChart for Silverlight will allow developers to seamlessly integrate the control’s capabilities into compelling rich data visualization Silverlight applications.

Telerik RadChart for Silverlight is expected to be released with Q1 2009, in the beginning of March 2009. Q1 2009 will be a milestone release for RadControls for Silverlight, featuring the official release of RadGridView, RadDocking, RadChart and Masked TextBox for Silverlight, as well as RadEditor for Silverlight CTP. The 3D capabilities of RadChart will be officially implemented with the Q2 release of RadControls for Silverlight in midsummer.
