‘GPS Mission’ LBS Game Now Available to the amAze Users

Orbster, the developer of the new ‘GPS Mission’ LBS game, and LocatioNet, the developer of ‘amAze’ free GPS navigation service, have announced today their collaboration to offer GPS Mission to the amAze users.

New York, NY, April 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Through this collaboration, the amAze users can now enjoy both the advanced free GPS navigation around the world combined with the rich database of ready-to-play GPS Mission games. Users of amAze will be able to search for nearby scavenger hunt missions offered by GPS Mission and being directed to the game’s starting point with a click of a button.

“More and more mobile phones are equipped with GPS. In addition of using GPS to guide you from point A to B, you can also play with it: Solve location-based crime mysteries, participate in a movie quiz, or embark on a journey through time and collect virtual gold,” says Georg Broxtermann, CEO of Orbster GmbH. “We look forward to work with LocatioNet to present GPS Mission games in this prime navigation software” Added Broxtermann. “We believe that games will be a distinguishing feature for navigation software and are happy that LocatioNet believes so too”.

‘GPS Mission’ is Orbster’s first product. It is a gaming platform which allows every user to create their own location-based mission and invite friends, and anyone who wants to join in, on an exciting outdoor adventure. Both the creation of a GPS mission and the successful completion of a task are rewarded with virtual gold, which the players may trade in for digital souvenirs from the respective location and for trophies they can present to the community at gpsmission. Badges, flags, medals, even digital beer mugs or manga pictures, will stimulate the collector’s enthusiasm.

“We are very happy to enrich the amAze service with this exciting LBS game” said Ofer Tziperman, President of LocatioNet. “So far amAze is proven to be a great tool for anyone who wish to have an affordable GPS navigation service. Now the amAze users will be able to also have some fun with GPS Mission. Even business travelers will be able to use it to explore a new city if they have some extra time”.

amAze is the world’s first free GPS navigation service that is based on the emerging mobile advertisements model. Users can download the service and use it for free. In a short time it became the most known brand for free mobile phone navigation service.
