Luxury Wedding Invitation by Doylestown Designer Takes Top Prize at Philly Ad Club

Heirloom won a Gold Addy for her wedding invitation package, Metamorphasis, in the prestigious Philadelphia Ad Club competition for innovative invitations.

Doylestown, PA, April 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Heirloom won a Gold Addy for her wedding invitation package, Metamorphasis, in the prestigious Philadelphia Ad Club competition for innovative invitations.

The invitation, for a wedding this month in the Lehigh Valley, celebrates a wedding literally a lifetime in the making. The bride and groom’s mothers were friends so they “knew” each other before they were born.

The groom “is studying entomology, so we knew we wanted to incorporate the insect theme into the wedding invite,” says bride Erin Gruver. “We also wanted everyone to know ... our mothers were college roommates, and we met for the first time before we were one. We grew up together, lost touch and got back in touch.”

“Kim helped us come up with a concept that made these two very different themes blend into one cohesive story. Our invitation is about the transformation of our relationship and that of a butterfly from birth to current day -- egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. It is exquisite!”

The winning invitation packaged included:

a save-the-date card with a leaf (just a hint of what was to come)
a response card, titled “Return Flight”
a program, “The Diagram of a Wedding,” with a butterfly and the attendants’ names correspond to different areas on the wings with the officiate in the middle as she is joining us together.
a thank-you note, “The Migration.” Because the couple has yet to decide where they will live, each butterfly in flight bears the name of a different city.

Green Design
Like all her designs, Heirloom Collections are green -- from the paper she prints on, to the inks she chooses to the vendors she works with. Her “green” conscious also extends to the cottage she is restoring on her Bucks County farm for studio space.
