Launch of Santa Monica's New Comedy Spot: M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater
M.i's Westside Comedy Theater is Santa Monica's new home for comedy. The former Westside Eclectic Theater is being renovated and relaunched as a comedy mecca for all westsiders and beyond. The new owners are the founding fathers of the long touring Mission IMPROVable show - a short form improv show that is the most popular touring improv show in the country. A launch party will be held Thursday 5/14 through Saturday 5/16 including performances by the theater's top shows and celebrity guests.
Los Angeles, CA, May 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- M.i. Productions launches M.i.’s Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, CA: a new home for the best comedy and improvisation in the Los Angeles area! The new all-ages theater (formerly The Westside Eclectic Theater) offers improv, stand up and sketch comedy six nights a week in their newly renovated space located adjacent to Santa Monica’s bustling Third Street Promenade.
The theater's Training Center continues to offer a full training program in improvisation, as well as classes in stand-up and comedy writing. Their dedicated teaching staff is comprised of working professionals in the comedy world with a combined 100 years of experience.
Located three and a half blocks from the ocean, the theater is in a key area of Santa Monica’s famous Third Street Promenade. Features include high vaulted ceilings, easy parking, newly renovated staging and a state of the art green screen setup. Daytime rental as a film studio provides an attractive and economical option for film/video productions in the area.
M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater's Launch Festival takes place Thursday, May 14 through Saturday, May 16, with an opening night party on Thursday and Friday & Saturday night performances by top-notch regulars and some very special guests.
