Indusa Provides Extensive SaaS Services as ‘On-Demand’ Software Gets in Demand

Software as a service (SaaS) packages which gained worldwide acceptance through applications like Salesforce.com has extended its concept to software packages across enterprise content management, data storage, etc.

Oakbrook Terrace, IL, June 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The performance during last year’s fourth quarter of Salesforce.com, the largest provider of SaaS services is open testimony of the success of SaaS even in recession. Salesforce declared a net income of $13.8 million in the fourth quarter which is more than $7.4 million compared to last year income. Total revenue which stood at $289.6 million for the quarter was a drastic increase of 34% over last year's quarter. Salesforce even managed to increase its revenue by 5% over the third quarter.

Technology Business research analyst, Melissa Grady said in a recent report that though Salesforce was not impervious to the ongoing recession, it managed to post an increase in revenue mainly because SaaS itself proves to be a winning technology. Indusa’s business development manager, Nandita Nityanandam also agrees that SaaS sure can make a mark in this economy with the help of custom SaaS implementation and custom SaaS application development.

“We expect the SaaS market to grow faster in Asian countries rather western markets like US or UK,” says Nandita. “Most SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses based in US too will prefer to adopt SaaS, because small companies with less revenue will not be able to afford licensed software.”

Meanwhile, lately Hewlett-Packard made a deal with Cast Iron Systems to make the SaaS integration tools created by Cast Iron Systems available to HP. The alliance will also help HP channel partners with more and more opportunities to create their own service offerings related to SaaS implementation and support services. Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft and IBM have also come up with their respective versions of SaaS.

“Some days back, the Springboard research report said that Indian SaaS market is expected to see a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 76% in between the years 2007 and 2011” says Nandita. “. Indusa provides Custom SaaS Application Development services with adroitness because of its strong exposure to the technicalities required and the overall experience in the field.”

Indusa has over the years provided Salesforce.com integration along with the extension and integration of a leading survey solution which was offered as SaaS. The company helps in simplifying deployment and reducing customer acquisition costs. Indusa also provides SaaS services which are mostly connected with a "pay as you go" subscription licensing model.
