Identropy Launches User Provisioning Gateway for Cloud Applications

Identropy's IC2 (Identity Connector for the Cloud) will enable top Identity Management solutions to manage user accounts across leading SaaS applications.

New York, NY, July 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- As Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions are growing in adoption, leading Identity Management platforms largely ignore these off-premise applications. The result is an unmanaged user base and a widening of the attack surface.

Customers that have tried to build these connections themselves have faced rapid changes, numerous protocols, and a unique codebase for each application that needs to be managed over time.

Identropy fills this gap with IC2 (Identity Connector for the Cloud), a hosted or on-premise gateway that enables corporations with an existing investment in an Identity Management Provisioning solution to simply plug into Identropy's IC2 gateway to extend user management to their SaaS providers. IC2 currently supports a number of SaaS vendors including Salesforce.com and Google Apps for Domains. This allows corporations to automate the onboarding, offboarding as well as orphan account reporting for their cloud-based applications, just as they are managing these processes for traditional enterprise applications today.

"IC2 provides the most value in environments that have already started implementing an identity management solution," said Identropy CEO, Victor Barris. "Since we've developed IC2 based on standards, it seamlessly integrates with all User Provisioning vendor solutions in Gartner's Leaders Quadrant, including Oracle, Courion, Novell, IBM and others. This allows for a plug-and-play solution that empowers organizations to leverage their investment in their existing infrastructure, and extend out the domain of their control with very little overhead."
