Chinese CPA Firm Hua-Ander Joins Russell Bedford as Beijing Member

Russell Bedford grows in China with the appointment of its first member firm in Beijing

London, United Kingdom, August 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Hua-Ander CPAs has been selected as the Beijing member firm of Russell Bedford International, representing a significant addition to the global audit network's existing coverage in the People's Republic of China.

Hua-Ander CPAs is a partnership founded in 1997 by a group of accountants who had worked together at one of the Big-4 firms. It was one of the first partnership accounting firms approved by the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China.

Hua-Ander is a full-service accounting firm providing diversified services from accounting, audit and tax to more multi-disciplinary advisory and transaction support. In the audit area, the firm is experienced in conducting dual audits that meet both Chinese statutory requirements and the IFRS / US GAAP requirements of multinational corporations.

The firm has grown organically and now has some 56 personnel. It is run by five partners, all CPAs, headed by managing partner Guoqi Wang.

Prior to establishing Hua Ander CPAs, Guoqi Wang was in charge of training and business advisory services with a Big-4 firm in Beijing. He has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in accounting from Renmin University of China. He also has a PhD in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics. In addition to his CPA qualification, Guoqi is also a Certified Tax Agent (CTA).

James Chang studied in the USA. He received his degree from New York University and his CPA certificate from New York State Society of CPAs. James was one of the first foreign citizens to be approved as a Chinese practising CPA. He was a partner in a local Chinese CPA firm prior to joining Hua-Ander in 1999. James is based in Hua-Ander's branch office in Shanghai.

Judy Ren has two decades of experience in Chinese accounting, finance and tax. She holds a degree in accountancy from Renmin University of China, together with postgraduate studies. Prior to the founding of Hua-Ander, she worked as the controller at a large state-owned enterprise and at a Big-4 firm providing audit and business services.

Romona Zhao has been in supervisory and management roles with Hua-Ander since the establishment of the firm, and she was promoted to partner in 2005. She has in-depth knowledge of Chinese and international accounting. Previously, Romona was with a Big-4 firm providing audit and business services.

Theresa Liu was also at the same Big-4 firm, working in the field of training and business services, and joined Hua-Ander when the firm was founded. She too held various supervisory and management positions before being promoted to partner in 2005.

In addition to the coverage provided by the new Beijing member, Russell Bedford is represented in China by its long-standing Hong Kong firm, which has branches in Guangzhou and Shanghai.
