"Evolution Diet" Author Tackles Food Allergies in New Book

Author reveals the root causes of food allergies, namely the recent introduction of these foods into our collective diet

San Diego, CA, August 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Food allergies are increasing in prevalence throughout all demographics and especially in children. In the new book, "The Evolution Diet: All-Natural and Allergy Free" (260p. Code Publishing, http://www.evolution-diet.com), author Joseph Morse claims that one of the central causes of this increase is that humans haven't evolved to eat certain food allergens.

"The peanut is one of the most popular foods in modern cultures throughout the world, but it didn't exist on anyone's menu six hundred years ago," says Morse. "We haven't had time to evolve to eat the plant and the result is intolerance and allergies to the food."

According to Morse, most of the "big eight" food allergies (dairy, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, and wheat) are harmful because we simply weren't designed to eat them in the amount that we do today. "The Evolution Diet" contrasts our modern diet with that of hunter/gatherers from around the globe and provides a unique eating plan to match what we were designed to eat.
