Santa Fe, NM, August 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Healing Research Institute announces the 2009 Hertzberg prize for best tribal erotic art anatomical photo (www.erotictribalart.com). The picture, simply entitled "Mayan Breasts" is a complex work involving tribal decorated anatomy with a Mayan overlay. The photograph expresses a remarkably striking and sensuous beauty said Dr. George Schwartz, head of the judging panel and President of Healing Research Institute who administered the contest.

At the award ceremony where the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, accepted her prize, she remarked that "The female breasts are a source of life. I tried for an image that is not lewd or sexually aggressive." The judging panel thought she succeeded and chose "Mayan Breasts" unanimously.

Donated by Beatrice Hertzberg, widow of electronics pioneer Robert Hertzberg, the prize is for the furtherance of erotically decorated anatomy. The site, www.erotictribalart.com was established to feature the yearly Hertzberg award winner and to offer the work for sale by download for a limited time.
