Food Drive to Help Local Families, Seven Fields Chiropractic Office Serving as Drop-Off Site

Seven Fields, PA, October 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Because many families are struggling to make ends meet, Finn Chiropractic Group is hosting a food drive to support the efforts of the Glade Run Food Bank. The office, located off of Rt. 228, will serve as a drop-off site for non-perishable foods from now until November 16.

“It’s so important to help our neighbors, especially during this time of year,” said Dr. Shawn Finn, clinic director. “We’re just asking our patients and others in the community to bring in a few non-perishable items to benefit families in our area.”

Glade Run Food Bank serves families in Southern Butler County, including Mars, Middlesex, Penn, Saxonburg, Cranberry and Adams townships. Typical food items to donate include cereal, soup, canned fruit/vegetables, spaghetti sauce, pasta, beans, rice, cake mix, crackers, instant potatoes and drink boxes.

“Some families are having a hard time these days, and there is great demand for food donations,” said Jack Chernosky, manager of the Glade Run Food Bank. “We typically assist approximately 44 families each month, and that number increases to 55 around the holidays. Every donation makes a big difference for these families.”

Anyone interested in donating food items can check Finn Chiropractic Group’s website, www.finnchiro.com, for hours of operation, or call 724-776-2673. The collection will take place until November 16.
