SBMerge.com was designed by Santa Barbara photographer Kelly Lane. Like many such innovations, it was conceived after repeated frustration from discovering interesting events after the fact. "Clearly there was a need for a dedicated Santa Barbara event calendar that listed both the typical mainstream gatherings as well as the more eclectic ones we typically hear about from someone involved in the event," said Lane.
