Neosens Has Been Rewarded with the First Prize During the CFIA 2010 Innovation Award Ceremony in the 'Equipment & Process' Category

Neosens received the first prize at the CFIA 2010 Innovation Awards in the ‘Equipment & Process’ category for its continuous fouling monitoring solution for the food & beverage industry: the FS-1000 probe.

Labège, France, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The last-born of Neosens, the FS-1000 probe, was conceived for the local, continuous and in-situ fouling monitoring in pipes, heat exchangers and reactors. Based on a patented micro-thermal principle and using the Microsystems technology, the FS-1000 probe is directly implanted inside the industrial equipment to follow-up in real-time the cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures, and its effectiveness. Therefore, the Neosens monitoring solution permits to optimize the CIP, to lengthen the production runs and also to optimize the energy and water consumption.

The FS-1000 can be used in any industrial fluids: water, milk, soup, sugar, creams, beverages, white water… and possesses the following technical features:
- with its stainless steel body (316L), the probe can resist to temperatures up to 150°C,
- double measurement range (0-1mm, 0-5mm) with a high sensitivity level from only few microns,
- factory calibration, and no maintenance needed,
- dedicated for industrial purposes, the FS-1000 has been developed to fit industrial standards: 4-20mA output signal, 12Vdc power supply.

"We are very proud to receive this award, says Thierry Brisard, CEO of Neosens, which rewards a long development process by the technical team. Our company mission is thereby reinforced: providing our customers with innovative industrial solutions based on MEMS sensors, and allowing them to optimize their process performances while reducing their environmental impact."

CFIA: the most important French event dedicated to the food & beverage industry.

This year, CFIA 2010 took place in Rennes from March 9 to 11. The trade show is divided into three parts: equipment & process, packaging, and ingredients.

CFIA Innovation awards: a display of technologies for the industry
The awards ceremony took place at the end of the first day of the event. 37 products and services were competing in 4 different categories: equipment and process – quality, hygiene, maintenance – ingredients – packaging. More than 300 attendees were present at the diner.
