Tandem Off-Road Mountain Bikes Hit the Trails in Asheville

Asheville, NC, May 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- TandemBicycling.com will be in attendance at the first annual 2010 Appalachian Off-Road Tandem Adventure (AORTA). Celebrating the quirky sub-culture of off-road tandem bicycling the event will host at least 30 teams from around the United States for trail rides through the hills around the historic town of Asheville.

Riding custom bicycles built for two, with suspension and gearing that allows for ascent and descent on technical trails, the tandem teams will spice up the local bicycle scene this pre-holiday weekend.

TandemBicycling.com has donated a pair of their newly designed jerseys as door prizes for the first annual event. AORTA will include trail rides, demo tandem bikes, and special industry guests.

With trail rides ranging in distance from a few miles to dozens of miles the hills of Western North Carolina will be alive with the exciting sport of tandem off-road bicycling.

AORTA is taking place May 21-23 at Bent Creek Trails in Asheville, NC. Organized by Alex Nutt of MTBTandems.com the event can be reached at the following web address (http://www.mtbtandems.com/).
