Carolina Mudcats Expands Radio, Internet Coverage Through Play-by-Play Sports Properties Partnership

Zebulon, NC, May 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Carolina Mudcats (www.carolinamudcats.com), Wake County’s hometown professional baseball team, has expanded its games coverage on radio and through its website courtesy of its partnership with Play-by-Play Sports Properties, LLC, a new company founded by longtime Mudcats “Voice” Patrick Kinas and Florida-based advertising executive Joe Bourdow. Kinas serves as regular play-by-play announcer, and Bourdow will provide color commentary for as many as 40 games this season. The flagship stations for radio coverage are WDWG 98.5 (www.bigdawg985.com), the “Big DAWG in Country,” in Rocky Mount and Raleigh-based WQDR-AM (www.countrylegends570.com), “Country Legends 570 AM,” formerly known as WDOX. Together these two stations reach a potential audience of more than a million listeners. WDWG will air all games live, with WQDR broadcasting nearly a full schedule. All regular season and championship games will be streamed live free on the Internet via the Carolina Mudcats website as well. Play-by-Play Sports Properties is the first such company to license broadcast rights from a minor league team. Action on the Mudcats Baseball Network starts with the Amtrak Pregame Show 15 minutes before the first pitch (most Mudcats home games start at 7:15 p.m. weeknights, 6:15 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays).

Quotes:
