Evolution Acquires Tokyo Apache

Tokyo, Japan, June 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Evolution Capital Management, a Los Angeles-based investment management advisor, today announced that its subsidiary is acquiring the operating company of the Tokyo Apache basketball team in Japan’s professional basketball league, the “bj-league.”

“This opportunity to work together with the Apache team and fans is very promising,” said Conor Neu, the newly appointed General Manager of the Tokyo Apache. “We are excited to take on a successful team in a rapidly growing league and intend to maintain its reputation as a first class franchise.”

Evolution will combine the team’s existing operations with Evolution’s infrastructure as a base for growth for the Tokyo Apache team. The current Tokyo Apache office manager, Daijiro Kusakabe, will continue to face the league for the team, and the previous owner, Exstar, will support the team going forward as a sponsor.

Evolution is currently preparing for a busy summer with the players, coaches, drafts, and summer leagues and camps. “We have a lot of work to do, but we are very excited to get started. We are looking forward to continuing the relationship between the team and what we consider some of the best fans in professional sports,” explained Mr. Neu.
