Reggy the Purple Party Dude, Family Fun Day Promotions Highlight Upcoming Carolina Mudcats Homestand

Zebulon, NC, August 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Carolina Mudcats (http://www.carolinamudcats.com), Wake County’s hometown professional baseball team, is proud to present the following promotions during their upcoming homestand against the Chattanooga Lookouts beginning Saturday, Aug. 7 through Wednesday, Aug.11.

- For the Mudcats Family Fun Day and Food Drive on Aug. 8, the Five County Stadium gates will open early at noon for families to play catch on the fieldfor an hour, get autographs of favorite Mudcats players from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and take part in Kids Run the Bases, sponsored by Comet Rice, after the game. The Mudcats request that fans donate canned food, and with three cans of food donations, fans can receive one free General Admission ticket. All food donations will go directly to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The same will include WQDR Family Day, where the first 94 families will receive an upgraded ticket to box seats, sponsored by 94.7 WQDR. Marty the One Man Party will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

- The Aug. 7 game will feature an appearance by Reggy the Purple Party Dude and giveaways for children and adults. Fans 18 years of age or older can play games and spin the prize wheel for free merchandise at the North Carolina Education Lottery booth behind the home plate. Children can visit the Chevy Youth Baseball tent on the main concourse to win prizes.

- At the Aug. 10 game, fans that purchase a ticket to the Tuesday, July 20 game and show their Kraft Singles package wrappers will get one free ticket. As part of Bright Leaf Dollar Dog Tuesday, fans can purchase all beef hot dogs for $1 each.

The Saturday game starts at 6:15 p.m., while the Sunday game begins at 2 p.m. All other games will have a 7:15 p.m. start time.
