The Society makes continuous efforts to upgrade and rebuild current facilities, as well as expanding existing facilities throughout the Alberta and British Columbia area. Lee Crest will consist of 71 assisted living suites and dementia care cottages, with an anticipated completion date set for January 2011. Taber is another current project that will provide 69 designated supportive living suites and 36 dementia care beds, with a completion date set for May 2011. Stony Plain is a facility already operating with a redevelopment project adding 126 continuing care units to the current building.

“We’re noticing that with each generation, there are higher and higher expectations for our services and facilities,” Gregor says. “And we’re hoping to meet these expectations with funding and ongoing employee training as well as creating a workplace for a younger generation in order to stay relevant in our industry.”
