Hawaiian Springs Named the Official Water of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing for Third Year in a Row

Premier Water Brand Joins Top Athletes Surfing for Prestigious Title.

Kea'au, HI, November 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Hawaiian Springs LLC, Hawaii’s signature natural water brand recognized for bottling some of the purest and most sustainable waters in the world, today announced it will be the Official Water of the 28th Annual Triple Crown of Surfing. The worlds’ top surfers are gathering on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, today in preparation for the $900,000 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing that begins in November and continues through December.

“Hawaiian Springs is proud to continue our support of the Triple Crown,” said Rick Hadley, chairman and CEO of Hawaiian Springs. “We are honored to be part of an event that showcases the talents of some of the best surfers from around the world.”

Hawaiian Springs will provide close to 12,000 servings of its 330mL size to the contest for the events: Reef Hawaiian Pro, Cholo's Women's Pro, O'Neill World Cup of Surfing, Gidget Pro, Billabong Pipe Masters, and Vans Women's Duel for the Jewel. Participants at "Clash of the Legends" at Haleiwa and the World Miss Reef competition featuring 2010 Miss Reef winners from Panama, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Argentina, Chile and the USA will also be served Hawaiian Springs.

Hawaiian Springs water is bottled at its source on the Big Island of Hawaii after being naturally filtered through 13,000 feet of lava. Hawaiian Springs captures the Arctic rains that fall over Mauna Loa and bottles it within 30 to 45 days—making it one of the freshest artesian waters available. With an alkaline pH level of 7.7—among the highest in the natural water category—it also is naturally enhanced with electrolytes. Already preferred by Hawaiian consumers, the premium natural artesian water from America’s favorite tropical destination is an ideal choice for individuals seeking a natural, refreshing moment of paradise in their active day-to-day life.

About Hawaiian Springs
Hawaiian Springs began bottling its young, natural artesian water in February 1995. Drawn from an artesian aquifer at the base of Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii, Hawaiian Springs bottles its water directly from the source within 30 days of falling as Arctic rain. Freshness, purity and a naturally sweet taste distinguish Hawaiian Springs from other waters. Today, Hawaiian Springs is expanding on the U.S. mainland and across Asia. The brand is now sold by leading natural grocery stores such as Henry’s Farmers Markets, Mollie Stone’s, Mother’s Market, Sprouts Farmers Market, Super Supplements, Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers and Whole Foods, and through the company’s online store at www.HawaiianSpring.com/blog/products. About Vans Triple Crown
The worlds top surfers are gathering on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, for the $900,000 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, which begins November 12. The first stop will be the men's Reef Hawaiian Pro and the Cholo's Women's Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park. The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing consists of three men's and three women's professional surfing events that are the final stop on the 2010 Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Tour. In its 28th year, the Vans Triple Crown is considered the most prestigious title in surfing next to the ASP World Title. Each event has an extended holding period with competition taking place on the biggest and best days of surf at each venue. In honor of former world and Vans Triple Crown champion Andy Irons, there will be no competition on Sunday, November 14, regardless of surf conditions, so that competitors can attend Andy's memorial service on Kauai that day.
