New ‘City to Slopes’ App for Park City Facebook Page

Park City, UT, November 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Ever wonder how long it takes to get from Arcola, Texas to Park City, Utah? According to the newly launched ‘City to Slopes’ application, on the Park City Facebook page (www.facebook.com/parkcityUT), in approximately four hours and thirteen minutes you could be skiing the slopes of three different resorts. The social media team at the Salt Lake advertising firm, Richter7 developed the application using Google maps to show the accessibility of Park City resorts to visitors.

“Our social media team did an amazing job in bringing something new to the web,” said Peggy Lander, partner and executive vice president of advertising at Richter7. “We have always known Park City is accessible, but now visitors have something to visually illustrate travel time and ease.”

Park City, with the help of the Richter7 team, keeps finding ways to differentiate themselves from the ski resort market. This new application takes into account a visitor’s nearest airport, flight time from departure to arrival and the drive time to Park City. The results page displays a Google map showing the travel path.

“We are preparing for a fantastic winter season and have a good feeling the new application will allow many to see how close they really are to Park City,” said Lander. “Hopefully this will play a part in influencing their travel decisions.”

Established in 1971, Richter7 has been named Utah’s “Best of State” advertising agency seven times in the past decade and is nationally recognized for effective advertising, public relations, online interactive and design for clients from Minneapolis to Hawaii.
