Allstate New Jersey Raises $40,000 for Cancer Fight Through ‘Quotes for a Cure’ Insurance Quote Donation Program Benefits the Cancer Institute of New Jersey
Allstate New Jersey raised $40,000 for The Cancer Institute of New Jersey through the insurance company's 'Quotes for a Cure' program.
Bridgewater, NJ, December 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Most Americans know the slogan “You’re In Good Hands With Allstate®.” Those “good hands” have reached beyond the company’s normal service lines to help ensure that those battling cancer will have a fighting chance.
For the second straight year, Allstate New Jersey Insurance Company held its “Quotes for a Cure” program to support research, treatment, prevention, and education programs at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ). The company exceeded its $25,000 goal by raising $40,000 for the campaign. CINJ is New Jersey’s only Comprehensive Cancer Center as designated by the National Cancer Institute and is a Center of Excellence of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Earlier this fall, Allstate New Jersey donated $10 to the CINJ Foundation for every life or auto insurance quote requested through any of Allstate’s 240 New Jersey agents. The company utilized social media platforms including Facebook to encourage its agents and employees to promote the program and to educate followers about CINJ. Several Allstate New Jersey employees who are cancer survivors shared their own personal stories via YouTube and described why they feel the “Quotes for a Cure” program is so important (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPrAR_w3W00). Members of the Allstate New Jersey team recently toured CINJ laboratories and learned firsthand about the cutting-edge research being done there.

Over the two-year period, Allstate New Jersey has raised $45,000 for CINJ through the program.
