Threshold Sports Training Launches a Better Way to Train

The goal of Threshold Sports Training is to provide high-quality training for endurance events like triathlons, marathons, Half-marathons and 10k runs in a novel way. Specifically, nearly all coaching will be electronic; that, is not new, but the addition of performance, nutrition, sport psychology and rehabilitation services is.

Omaha, NE, January 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- David Potach and Roger Earle announce the official opening of their new business, Threshold Sports Training, with last week’s launch of their website, www.thresholdsportstraining.com. Offering evidence-based training options in coaching, performance analysis, nutrition counseling, injury rehabilitation, and mental conditioning, clients receive tailored services delivered by experienced, credentialed coaches. In addition to on-site and in-person performance programs, internet-based training plans and electronic coaching options provide Threshold Sports Training the ability to serve clients around the world.

According to David Potach, PT, MS, SCS, CSCS, “Our goal is to provide a unique and effective resource for athletes who train for endurance events, such as marathons and triathlons. Both experienced and beginning athletes need a combination of coaching, performance, nutrition, and psychology services. All too often, they are required to seek out four or more different resources or people to meet those needs. Not anymore; Threshold Sports Training offers all of these services and so much more.”

Roger Earle, MA, CSCS*D, NSCA-CPT*D describes the comprehensive, convenient approach that Threshold Sports Training takes with each client. “In addition to the vast experience and expertise of our coaches, our primary mode of communication with athletes is electronic. While a variety of other electronic coaching and nutritional companies exist, to our knowledge, none combine coaching and nutrition with sport psychology, performance training, and physical therapy services.”

A sport nutritionist and sport psychologist join Potach and Earle as coaches. Jill Koegel, RD, LMNT, CSSD will provide a variety of nutritional services. Jason Grindstaff, PhD, CSCS, NCC is a sport psychologist offering mental conditioning services via Skype and other electronic means.

Though Threshold Sports Training has four coaches at the moment, they plan to expand both the team and their coverage over the next several months. Threshold Sports Training has been selected to provide training services for both the Omaha Triathlon and Omaha Women’s Triathlon. They plan to expand on this exciting partnership with other local, regional, national, and international events.

Earle agrees, “Through our work prior to Threshold Sports Training, we have established connections throughout the world, including in China, Japan, Thailand, England, and Spain. There is a need for our services outside the borders of the US and we’re excited to provide such an opportunity for athletes on a global scale.”
