Nu Flow Potable 7000 System Receives PMG Listing

PMG Listing No. 1020 from ICC Evaluation Service, LLC (ICC-ES)

San Diego, CA, January 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Nu Flow Potable 7000 Water Piping Epoxy Coating System, manufactured by Nu Flow, the world's leading inside infrastructure corporation, received a PMG listing (PMG#1020) from ICC Evaluation Service, LLC (ICC-ES), providing evidence that the epoxy used to coat the interior of existing galvanized steel pipe or copper rigid tube in pressurized potable water supply systems meets code requirements.

Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others will utilize the ICC-ES PMG (Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas) listing to provide a basis for use of the Nu Flow 7000 System in construction projects under the 2009 International Plumbing Code® (IPC) and 2009 International Residential Code® (IRC).

Products listed under the ICC-ES PMG program undergo evaluation based on requirements in such codes as the International Plumbing Code, the International Mechanical Code, the International Residential Code, the International Fuel Gas Code, the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Mechanical Code.

ICC-ES thoroughly examined Nu Flow's product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product was code-compliant.

"Recently we have received two approvals for our Potable 7000 System. Obtaining our third, the PMG listing from ICC Evaluation Service, is yet another great milestone for Nu Flow and our technology," said Cameron Manners, Nu Flow CEO.

The ICC-ES PMG Program is designed to build upon ICC-ES's nearly eighty years of experience in evaluating building products for code compliance. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute, the program operates under ISO/IEC Guide 65, "General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification Systems."

ICC-ES President Mark Johnson explains why ICC-ES PMG listings are so important. "Nu Flow can now reference the listing to ensure code officials and the building industry that the product meets code requirements as well as other applicable standards," Johnson said.

"Code compliance is an added feature not normally offered in a listing program. Our program also stands out because of the tremendous technical knowledge of the ICC-ES staff and the Product Listing Committee, and ICC-ES's sharp focus on technical issues and code compliance. The PMG Program is a tool that the code official may use in making a final decision on approving the product. Final approval of building products, of course, is always in the hands of the local regulatory agency."
