Two iUniverse Titles Nominated for 2006 Needle Award

New York, NY, February 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- iUniverse is pleased to announce that two of its titles were recently nominated for the 2006 Needle Award sponsored by the popular print-on-demand publishing blog, POD-DY Mouth.

The Needle Awards, so named for POD-DY Mouth’s ability to find good books among the veritable “haystack” of self-published, print-on-demand titles, recognizes the best books reviewed on the site each year. Only six titles from the more than 1,600 full-length submissions to POD-DY Mouth were nominated for this award.

The two iUniverse authors and titles that have been nominated for the 2006 Needle Awards are:

Daniel Scott Buck, The Greatest Show on Earth
Fay Freimuth, A Multitude of Mercies

A panel consisting of three editors from publishing powerhouses HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, and Random House and four high-profile literary agents will serve as judges of this year’s competition. The winning title will be announced on the POD-DY Mouth blog at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007.
