Imaginet Prepares for Telco IPv6 Transition Trials Using BlueCat Proteus IPAM and Adonis DHCP/DNS Servers

IPv6 will be released by Imaginet on June 8th, 2011. IPv6 is designed to add more IP addresses to allow the internet to expand.

Makati City, Philippines, April 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Imaginet International Inc., the leading systems integrator and managed network, hosting and content security provider in the Philippines, has recently begun preparations for the first of 5 Telco IPv6 trials in the Philippines.

Three of Imaginet’s engineers, Genesis Tiglas, Joanna Marie Ramos, and John Tugade begin preparing the BlueCat Proteus IP Address Management (IPAM) and the Adonis DHCP/DNS servers for the upcoming transition to IPv6.

The BlueCat Proteus IPAM is the industry’s most complete IP address management platform consolidating management of the entire IP infrastructure which includes DNS and DHCP services, while the Adonis DNS/DHCP appliances ensure services are secure, configured correctly and highly available.

Telco’s worldwide are preparing for the IPv6 transition, starting with the World IPv6 day on June 8th, 2011. As the IPv4 can no longer handle the demand for new IP addresses, the IPv6 is designed to provide enough IP addresses to allow the internet to continue to expand. However, there are compatibility issues with regards to switching from IPv4 to IPv6.

Imaginet, as a BlueCat Advantage Partner in the Philippines, is assisting several major Telco companies in the Philippines with their IPv6 trials using BlueCat Proteus IPAM and Adonis DNS/DHCP servers, and preparing for live operations by IPv6 day.

“Imaginet has been spearheading IPv6 transition efforts to ensure that ISPs and other Telco’s are ready by June 8 with little or no disruptions to their business operations and end-user services. With Asia being one of the strongest adopters of IPv6, we are working closely with our partner, BlueCat Networks in the Philippines to create a smooth and easy transition for all our clients who are affected by this change,” says Blair Duncan, CEO of Imaginet.
