The Profiles Series Announces Special Edition on Corporate Responsibility

Profiles Series announces the production of a special program focusing on those responsible individuals, organizations, and policies that are working to keep America’s companies accountable to the noble notion of the “greater good.”

New York, NY, March 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- If The Only Line Is The Bottom Line, Where Do You Draw The Line? Due to growing concerns about the socio-economic responsibilities of corporate America on Capital Hill, in the media, and within corporate America itself, The Profiles Series announces the production of a special program focusing on those responsible individuals, organizations, and policies that are working to keep America’s companies accountable to the noble notion of the “greater good.”

Executive Producer Wali Waiters says, “We are excited about profiling the brightest and the best companies in America and what they are doing as responsible corporate stewards.”

According to Marjorie Kelly, publisher of Business Ethics magazine, when it comes to corporate responsibility, “some are getting it, but many are not.” With record profits being posted and massive year-end bonuses for some executives being doled out, this special edition of The Profiles Series will shed some much needed light on the controversies surrounding the freedom that companies have in this country to prosper, versus the responsibility those running the companies have to their fellow citizens.

Senior Producer Ed Shaland says “typically in the media we only hear negative stories about Corporate America, our aim is to highlight the positive.”

What companies are recognized as being among the most ethical in America? What are the CEOs of these companies doing that’s getting them the recognition they deserve, and what do they, and others have to say to those companies that are, as Business Ethics magazine said, “not getting it?” This special edition of The Profiles Series will answer some of these questions.

The Profiles Series is hosted by Academy Award winner, Lou Gossett, Jr. whose films include “A Raisin in the Sun”, “An Officer and a Gentleman”, and Tyler Perry’s newly released “Daddy’s Little Girl”. Gossett’s previous involvement in organizations like the NAACP, CARE, and the United States Armed Forces adds to his validity and integrity in the causes featured on the series.
