Mudpie Supports Campaign for Alexander Mcqueen Exhibit to Travel World

Social networking campaign to promote Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty exhibition currently at the Metropolitan to travel the world.

Southampton, United Kingdom, August 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Mudpie Fashion trends and culture group on the professional networking site Linkedin is supporting an initiative to take the New York based exhibition “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” on tour to other major cities in the world. Initiated by Selena Norris is a young independent designer based in Columbus, Ohio, who created the petition on Change.org which has been circulated by members of Trend Forecasting company Mudpie's Linkedin Social Networking group "Mudpie Fashion, Trends and Culture" http://tinyurl.com/44hcm4e.

Fiona Jenvey, CEO of Mudpie says: “We are delighted that we have members like Selena on our Mudpie LinkedIn Group who want to make important exhibitions available to all. With over 10,000 active members from the USA, UK and Asia the Mudpie Group is fast becoming an important voice in the industry. Personally I would like to see the Exhibition tour the USA, perhaps visit LACMA and then come to the V+A in London before continuing on a world tour.”

The petition, located here: http://www.change.org/petitions/please-make-alexander-mcqueens-savage-beauty-a-traveling-exhibition has after a few days neared 1000 signatures and has been set up to convince the Met and donors who loaned clothes for the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibit to reconsider ending the show and to take it on tour to other major cities in the world.

Selena Norris, designer and creator of the petition says, “His untimely death touched the hearts of many who look up to him as one of the greatest designers, in our time and throughout history. The goal of this petition is to help spread the beauty of his work with the world as a final testament and legacy of his genius, to bring him honor as we remember the beauty he brought into the world.”
