Carolina Mudcats Welcome Jacksonville Suns for Aug. 21-25 Homestand

Upcoming Five-Game Home Series Will Include Group Appreciation Day, KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, 2 for 1 Wednesdays, Other Promotions

Zebulon, NC, August 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Carolina Mudcats (http://www.carolinamudcats.com), Wake County’s hometown professional baseball team, has announced the team’s upcoming five-game home series against the Jacksonville Suns starting Sunday, Aug. 21 through Thursday, Aug. 25. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night’s games all have starting times of 7:15 p.m. Sunday’s game has a special start time of 6:15 p.m., while Thursday’s game will begin at 11 a.m.

The game scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 22 will feature Group Appreciation Day. All groups that attended a game at Five County Stadium this season are welcomed back to Tuesday’s game courtesy of the Mudcats, as a gesture of goodwill for their support of the team throughout the season. The game also will feature Kraft Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, presented by KRAFT singles. Fans who bring in their package wrapper will receive one ticket free with the purchase of another. Tuesday’s game also marks Carolina Packers Dollar Hot Dog night.

The game scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 23, will offer a 2-for-1 promotion, where fans can buy one box seat ticket and get a second box seat ticket for free with a Food Lion MVP Card. The promotion is presented by Food Lion and is subject to availability.

During the Thursday, Aug. 24 day game, Muddy and the Mudcats will host all local Daycare Centers. Gates open at 10 a.m. The game will feature Thirsty Thursday, presented by Natty Greene’s Brewing Company. Fans may purchase 12-ounce Pepsi products for only $1 and 16-ounce domestic drafts for only $2.

- The Mudcats offer a $1 ticket discount for children (7-12), senior citizens (65+) and military personnel in the Box Seats, Reserved Field Level and General Admission sections.

- Children (ages 4-6) receive discounted tickets for $3 in the General Admission, Reserved Field Level and Box Seats. Children ages 3 and below receive complimentary General Admission tickets, Reserved Field Level and Box Seats if a seat is required.
