The Texas Self Storage Association launched the “Make a Difference” state-wide campaign to emphasize the contributions made by self storage owners in their communities and to highlight the partnership with Shriners Children’s Hospital in Galveston.

Houston, TX, September 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Amazing Spaces® Storage Centers asks Houston, Spring, and The Woodlands communities to join together and show how easily an individual can “Make a Difference” in a child’s life. The Texas Self Storage Association launched the “Make a Difference” state-wide campaign to emphasize the contributions made by self storage owners in their communities and to highlight the partnership with Shriners Children’s Hospital in Galveston. Amazing Spaces Storage Centers and the Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) have supported the work of the Shriners Children’s Hospital for the past eight years. Donations to the Hospital have almost reached the $250,000 mark. The inspiration of the movement and for self storage facilities across the state is the story of a young girl throwing beached starfish back into the ocean after a storm left millions stranded. While others scoff at the futility of the task, the young girl goes on undaunted wanting to make a difference to at least one starfish. The story illustrates that while one person cannot possibly save the millions of starfish on the beach, with just a little effort, one person can still make a difference to the lives affected.

“This year we are really trying very hard to reach our goal to raise more money for the hospital, it is a wonderful charity to support,” said Kathy Tautenhahn, Vice President. Amazing Spaces will be accepting donations from September 1st through October 16th, 2011. Each dollar earned will be matched by the company and all proceeds go directly to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston.
