Hope International University Again Named "Military Friendly" and a Yellow Ribbon School

HIU’s programs and policies for service members and veterans has resulted in the University being included with a select number of schools designated as Military Friendly.

Fullerton, CA, October 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Hope International University in Fullerton, CA has again been named a Military Friendly School by the G.I. Jobs Military Friendly Schools ® team and on its military and veteran College Matchmaker at www.MilitaryFriendlySchools.com. Out of nearly 7000 schools nationwide, Military Friendly status is only granted to a rare 15%- leaving a list of 1000 of the most qualified schools and colleges to cater to our veterans and service members. Criteria for selection includes programs and policies that accommodate service members and veterans, academic credit for CLEP and ACE, flexible learning programs, tuition benefits, acceptance of the GI Bill, and membership in the Servicemembers Opportunity Consortium (SOC).

HIU is also proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program under the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The Yellow Ribbon Program provides enhanced tuition assistance for military students who want to attend private schools and out-of-state schools.

In addition, HIU offers a number of other benefits to military members, veterans, and their families. The Department of Defense Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program provides a lifetime benefit of up to $4,000 of financial assistance for military spouses who are pursuing associate degrees, certification, and licensures leading to employment in portable career fields.
