New York, NY, November 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Kids Food Festival launches on January 21st and 22nd, 2012, at Citi Pond in Bryant Park. This free weekend event joins the fight against childhood obesity by engaging kids and their families in fun activities, tastings and exciting family-focused programming. Through the mission of the Kids Food Festival, families discover the importance of achieving balance in food and lifestyle choices.

The weekend’s free festivities, housed in the park’s heated, glass, boutique kiosks, are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Programming for all ages includes cooking activities and demonstrations, music, workshops, food sampling, ice-skating, and games.

The Kids Food Festival further engages festival-goers with a grocery scavenger hunt. Children bounce between vendors and workshops learning how to make balanced food choices. Participants receive stamps at each kiosk and a prize at the finish.

Sponsors and vendors are encouraged to partner with the Kids Food Festival to reach a highly targeted audience of conscientious family consumers. Vendors receive premium exposure pop-up shops in the heart of Manhattan, and may both sample and sell products and services.
