About Lawrence S. Cohn

Lawrence S. Cohn specializes in intensive psychiatric care, psychiatry and psychoanalysis. Dr. Cohn received an M.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is the author of numerous published works including “Pseudo Stupidity and Analyzability,” and a co-author of “To Coerce and Be Coerced,” in the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. His lecture topics include "On Kleptomania-The Stolen Object as a Fetish", and "The Reluctance to Present, be Certified, and the Analyst's Transferences", presented to the Florida Psychoanalytic Society. Dr. Cohn is the Co-Recipient of the Resident Award for work on "Cognitive Style and Serum Pepsinogent”, the Florida Psychoanalytic Society's Casuso Essay Award for "Pseudo Stupidity” and the Edith Sabshin Award of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Dr. Cohn is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. In his free time Dr. Cohn enjoys photography, reading and keeping physically fit.
