Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter to Offer Pet-Care Classes

Tucson, AZ, March 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Beginning in mid-March, the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter will begin offering classes for dog and cat lovers. Classes are $10 each and cover such subjects as “Basic Cat Care,” and “Pet First Aid and CPR.” These classes are open to the public. New classes will be added each month and are held at the shelter, located at 5278 E 21st Street, Tucson, AZ 85711.

“We saw a need from many of our adopters,” said Cindy McGuire, executive director of the Hermitage. “We hope these classes will help our supporters and the public at large become better pet parents.”

The “Basic Cat Care” class will be held Wednesday March 21st or Saturday March 24th at 1:00 p.m. Students will receive lessons in topics such as trimming cats’ claws, basic nutrition, vaccinations and more.

The “Pet First Aid & CPR” class will be held Wednesday March 28th or Saturday March 31st at 1:00 p.m. Students will learn how to check for their pet’s pulse, signs of distress, and how to keep their pet stable on the way to emergency treatment.
