Be-The Boutique - Where Fun, Food, Fashion and Fancy Meet

Be-The Boutique and Scouts Treats join forces for a Mother's Day Celebration.

Indianapolis, IN, May 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, 2012, Be-The Boutique and Scouts Treats, both locally and minority owned businesses will join forces for a Mother’s Day Celebration at 5367 North College Avenue. Committed to bringing the best of fashion, food and fancy to Indianapolis, Scouts Treats will be a permanent fixture in the four-year-old boutique. With a new cupcake and gourmet popcorn bar, this marriage promises to be the sweetest new treat in the city.

Please join the anniversary tradition of southern fried chicken, cheese grits, biscuits and more, topped off with a new tradition of sweet treats by Scouts. The festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. each day.

Opening it’s doors for business in May 2008, Be-The Boutique was created by Barbie Turner, the Be Girl, as a neighborhood boutique providing customers with an eclectic selection of women’s apparel, handbags, jewelry, furnishings and gifts for all occasions. Uniquely decorated with scads of color and personality, Be is like no other boutique in town. The addition of the cupcake and gourmet popcorn bar promises to make this already wonderful shopping experience...even better.

Always a dream to own a cupcake bakery, Lisa Moyer, the Cupcake Girl, began to make that dream a reality in 2010. Creating the city’s first cupcake truck while paying tribute to her great, great, great Aunt Pippa Scout, Scouts Treats has become one of Indy’s favorites. And plainly put, customers have been begging her to open a storefront ever since. The new cupcake and gourmet popcorn bar will include a wide variety of whole made sweets in a wide variety a flavors. Using nothing but the finest quality ingredients and from old family recipes, these treats are one of a kind.

With lifelong entrepreneurial spirits, Barbie and Lisa had always wanted to start their own businesses; that would be fun and utilize their artistic talents. As mothers of teenager daughters, both Barbie and Lisa are creating a space that is fashion, food and fancy.

Be-The Boutique and Scouts Treats invite everyone to come share in the experience - where there is fun...everyday.
