Michigan’s Largest Antique & Collectible Festival Will be Hosting the Michigan Vietnam Memorial Wall on June 2-3

Michigan Antique Festival is proud to announce the addition of the Michigan Vietnam Memorial Wall to the June 2nd – 3rd Festival at the Midland County Fairgrounds.

Midland, MI, May 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- “It will be an honor to host the Michigan Vietnam Memorial Wall,” said Promoter Lori Oberlin. “We can’t think of a better way to give thanks to the Servicemen and Women that gave their lives for our Country.” The Wall will be on display on June 2-3. There will be a special Flag Raising Ceremony at Noon on Saturday & Sunday. This will be the first time the Wall will be on display in the Mid-Michigan area.

The Michigan Vietnam Memorial Wall is a special project created by Chapter 72 of the Vietnam Veterans of America and was completed in 2011. The Michigan Vietnam Memorial Wall displays the 2661 names of Michigan Men and Women that were lost in Southeast Asia.

Along with the Vietnam Memorial Wall; there will be a large selection of privately restored Military Vehicles owned by members of the Great Lakes Military Vehicle Preservation Association and the Michigan Museum of Military Transport. The Trail Ride Quilters will also be on hand creating and displaying handmade lap quilts that they send to wounded warriors at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. The group has sent over 125 quilts for distribution to recovering US Military personnel.

The Michigan Antique Festival is the largest Antique & Collectible Festival in Michigan. Celebrating 44 Years.
