NCVMA Members Provide Veterinary Care to More Than 60 Dogs Rescued from Sampson County Commercial Dog Breeder

North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Dedicated to Providing Compassionate Animal Care and Quality Medicine to Rescued Dogs

Raleigh, NC, March 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (http://www.ncvma.org/) has announced that three of its members are providing veterinary care and treatment to more than 60 dogs rescued from a commercial dog breeder in Sampson County on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office asked the Humane Society of the United States, SPCA of Wake County and Guilford County Animal Shelter to help with the rescue of the animals, and the NCVMA was called in to assist with medical treatment. The dogs, which include a variety of small breeds, are suffering from a multitude of untreated medical conditions and are being treated at an emergency shelter in Kenly, N.C.

NCVMA members who are providing treatment include Dr. Sandy Albright of Crossroads Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Ginger Templeton of Falls Village Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh and Dr. Dana Lewis of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice.
