Summer Learning Program to Release Pre-Kindergarden Workbook

ThinkStretch Summer Learning Program has released a Pre-K: Heading to Kindergarten summer workbook to help parents prepare their children for school. The workbook is available now.

Ann Arbor, MI, April 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- ThinkStretch is proud to add a Pre-K: Heading to Kindergarten workbook to its line up of summer workbooks for elementary students. As an expansion of the popular Brain and Professor animated activity books, the Pre-K workbooks include reading, writing, science, and math skill building activities.

ThinkStretch is a comprehensive and fun summer learning program designed to meet Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Title I requirements. It encourages parent involvement while helping teachers prevent summer learning loss and close the achievement gap.

"Pre-K workbooks are a much requested addition to the ThinkStretch family of summer learning books,” said Donna Lasinski, Founder and President of ThinkStretch. “We are thrilled to offer parents and kids fun, interesting activities to help them play and learn with the goal of being kindergarten ready!"

Parents begin the summer workbooks with a simple kindergarten readiness assessment. Over the summer, parents can focus on preparing their child for the first day of school. Each weekly lesson contains a bonus activity that encourages readiness for school and hands-on exploration of math and science. Unique to the Pre-K book, activities are followed by a “Talk To Me” conversation prompt to encourage parents and children to engage in the learning process together. All Pre-K summer workbook users can also access fun and engaging bonus learning activities on ThinkStretch’s Facebook page.

As with all ThinkStretch summer workbooks, a parents guide to summer is included which provides extra reading, writing, science, and math activities. In the guide, parents who have been through the ThinkStretch program with their children share their favorite summer activities along with tips for safe online learning.

Several schools who know the value ThinkStretch programs provide students have already pre-ordered the Pre-K: Heading to Kindergarten workbook, is now available to parents at http://www.thinkstretch.com.
