Personal Mastery Martial Arts in Sandy Offers Free Speed Breaking Seminar

Personal Mastery Martial Arts helps students prepare for upcoming Board Breaking Olympics tournament with free speed breaking seminar.

Sandy, UT, August 29, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Sandy martial arts studio, Personal Mastery Martial Arts, recently offered a free seminar on speed breaking for their students. The seminar on speed breaking helped the martial arts students prepare for an upcoming inter-school board breaking tournament called the Board Breaking Olympics. The Board Breaking Olympics will be the first tournament that many of the students at Personal Mastery Martial Arts have participated in and they are very excited! At the tournament they will not only get to break boards and bricks, but they will also get to compete in a friendly atmosphere with their friends and classmates, earn medals, test their skills, show off for their friends and family, and have a ton of fun at the same time!

The free seminar, offered on a Saturday morning, was taught by Master Instructor Aaron Doucet. Master Doucet is a world speed breaking champion – in 2011 he earned the first place gold medal at a worldwide tournament in Seoul, South Korea. He has been training in martial arts classes for more than a decade and has taught many martial arts students on their way to black belt. He has also coached the Personal Mastery Martial Arts competition team for the last three years. He was very excited to teach the speed breaking seminar. He said, “Helping students prepare for a tournament is always fun. Going over the rules and challenging people to kick higher and faster is a lot of fun for me as a coach because I get to see my students progress and excel at the things they thought they could never do.”

At the speed breaking seminar, Master Doucet helped students to learn the rules of breaking in a competition and also helped them to improve their breaking techniques. Some of the techniques that will be used in the speed breaking divisions include repetitive spinning kicks, high jump kicks, and speed hand breaks. To help them work on the techniques that they were going to use, Master Doucet set up a variety of fun and challenging breaking drills.

The Board Breaking Olympics, which will be on Saturday September 7th, will be a great opportunity for these martial arts students to test out their new speed breaking skills that they learned at the seminar. It will offer a variety of fun challenges and opportunities for them to not only test their skills, but have fun competing and showing their family and friends what they have learned.
