Chandler, AZ, September 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dignity Kids Inc., an Arizona-based Non-Profit dedicated to inspiring and empowering families, schools, and communities to live healthy, active and bully-free lifestyles, is sponsoring a very special fundraiser in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. The fundraiser "Wishing for Mommy" will raise funds for children of mothers with breast cancer. The grant money will go towards fulfilling a special wish that the child has for their mother. The campaign runs from September 1 - November 15, 2013.

A minimum of four children will receive a $500 grant to help make their wish for mommy come true. The goal is to grant at least 40 wishes. "Wishing for Mommy" is a sponsored fundraiser hosted by Dignity Kids Inc. and is directly associated with local Arizona breast cancer awareness groups. Dignity Kids and "Wishing for Mommy" were both founded by ATA academy owner and instructor Master Michelle Lee.

According to Lee, “We typically raise money for breast cancer research during Breast Cancer Awareness month, but this year we wanted to do something different, something to help children of breast cancer patients do something special for their families. Sometimes something as simple as a positive diversion can help improve the outlook of a child whose life is touched by cancer.”

Ernie Reyes Jr., VP of Dignity Kids Inc., had this to add: “So many young children in this unfortunate situation have a special wish for mommy that they cannot fulfill on their own. Dignity Kids wants to fulfill as many ‘wishes for mommy’ as possible through this campaign.”

The National Cancer Institute estimates that nearly one third of women with breast cancer have children living at home. While the children of cancer patients do not have cancer physically, their worlds have been significantly affected by their parent’s illness and they desperately want to help in some way. A child’s "Wish for Mommy" may be as simple as treating mommy to a day at a spa or taking the family on a special day trip. Helping a child fulfill their special "wish" for mommy is a priceless gift, one that creates special memories that will never be forgotten.

Children that would like to have their "Wish for Mommy" considered must submit a one page written explanation describing their wish. They must include why the wish is significant to them and how they feel fulfilling the will positively impact their family. The nominating child must be between the ages of 3 and 18. An adult can nominate on behalf of a child who cannot write. Including as much detail as possible is recommended.

Submissions can be emailed to ccloud@dignitykids.org or mailed to Dignity Kids, Inc., located at 610 N. Alma School Road #32 in Chandler, AZ 85224.

Dignity Kids Inc. is working hard to raise funds for "Wishing for Mommy" through the sale of "Pink Belts." Pink Belts can be purchased for $20 and at 11 ATA Academy locations across the valley. 100% of the proceeds go to "Wishing for Mommy." Donations can also be made on the "Wishing for Mommy" website.
