EosGroup Announces Eos Code Manager, the Next Cortex Module

Scottsdale, AZ, October 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Today Eos Group, Inc. announces the release of Eos Code Manager for Eos Navigator, which gives estimators the ability to set up, manage, and publish libraries of work breakdown structure codes (WBS codes) and values for Sage Estimating estimates. Eos Code Manager is a module for Cortex, Eos’ next-generation preconstruction project controls platform, and plugs in to Eos Navigator as a widget.

WBS management is a common problem for estimators. Managing bid breakouts on a per project basis is time-consuming and can easily lead to reporting errors down the line. Eos recognizes the value of helping clients manage bid breakout values, company-wide and industry breakdown codes, and other work breakdown structures. Eos Code Manager for Navigator eliminates the need to manually set up WBS codes and values in individual estimates, which promotes accuracy and helps clients stay focused on estimating.

Prior to this release, Eos Code Manager was available only as a plug-in for Eos Explorer Extended, which is compatible with Pervasive versions of Sage Estimating. Like Eos Navigator, this release of Eos Code Manager is compatible with Sage Estimating 13.2 (Microsoft SQL version) and later. It provides a clean, simplified interface for managing WBS code libraries and associating estimates with libraries. This release also features streamlined status reporting and significant performance improvements for importing and publishing WBS code values.
