Los Angeles, CA, October 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Veteran forensic DNA expert, Mehul B. Anjaria and producer Dion Mitchell have joined forces to create Zero Cliff Media (ZCM), a production company specializing in crime stories. Drawing on Anjaria’s experience on the front lines of the criminal justice system, ZCM’s initial projects highlight forensic investigation from the refreshing viewpoint of the accused and their defense team.

Mitchell has been in front of and behind the camera for over 20 years as an actor and producer. He first met Anjaria in 2005 while seeking DNA expertise in the development of a television docudrama about the power of DNA to convict and exonerate. “When I learned about Mehul’s hands-on work with inmates who represent themselves in the most serious criminal cases, I knew the storylines were endless and mind-blowing.”

ZCM’s first project, Beverly Hills Forensics, is a groundbreaking show that grants exclusive access to the battles of underdogs in the criminal justice system as independent DNA warrior Anjaria fights for forensic justice, even for the most sinister of inmates. A clip of this television docudrama can be viewed at zerocliffmedia.com.

ZCM is also developing a television procedural crime drama titled Grey Area, which is based on Anjaria’s career and personal cases. Mitchell comments, “Concepts based on the careers of elite professionals are in strong demand, and I am thrilled to be partnered with Mehul.” Anjaria adds, “With the success of Breaking Bad, I look forward to tapping into my past experience as a sheriff’s department criminalist investigating meth labs for creative content as well.”

ZCM has already expanded its development efforts beyond crime stories by partnering with producer and Bandito Studios founder Rick Villa in the development of animated content. Their first collaborative project is Slops, a comedic look at the life of a Marine Veteran who thought he retired in a Baja paradise. A graphic novel for the project is currently in development.
