Oshawa Turul S.C. Commences Celebration of Its 50th Anniversary with Club Tryouts
Oshawa Turul S.C. is Oshawa's oldest competitive youth soccer club. Thousands of boys and girls have worn the Turul jersey since its founding year 1958. Many teams have received local, regional and national recognition for their demeanor, discipline and accomplishments. Two notable teams reached the pinnacle of success on the field by winning national titles (U12 boys in 1978, U17 boys in 1989).
Ontario, Canada, September 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Oshawa Turul S.C. announced today that it will be holding its First Annual Rep Soccer Tryouts at Kluane Fields, Lakeview Park, Oshawa Ontario the weekend of September 22 and 23, 2007.
Oshawa Turul S.C. is Oshawa's oldest competitive youth soccer club. Thousands of boys and girls have worn the Turul jersey since its founding year 1958. Many teams have received local, regional and national recognition for their demeanor, discipline and accomplishments. Two notable teams reached the pinnacle of success on the field by winning national titles (U12 boys in 1978, U17 boys in 1989).
This year marks the first time that the Oshawa Turul S.C. runs a selection tryout for all age groups in one day. "We would like to invite you to try out for one of our many teams and age groups. Players are invited to attend regardless of any prior playing history. Our coaching staff will be on hand to collectively evaluate talent.", said Rito Salomone, Director, Public Relations.
Oshawa Turul S.C. is actively recruiting new coaches that want to join their rapidly growing club. The club is now accepting applications from men and women who wish to coach boys and girls at the competitive level from U8 to Senior. Prospective new coaches, technical directors, trainers, goalie coaches and teams are welcome to attend the tryout weekend or visit www.oshawaturul.com for details and directions.

The Oshawa Turul S.C. has flourished over the years because of the contribution of many great people, players, coaches and administrators. Oshawa Turul S.C. is represented by sixteen boys and girls teams ranging from 8 yrs old to senior. The club will be celebrating its 50th year of existence in 2008.
