Isolation Between Devices is Assured with Model 6267 2-Channel LC Duplex AB Switch

The Model 6267 dual-channel LC duplex A/B switch was designed with the internal circuitry to insure complete isolation between networks/devices.

Cranston, RI, November 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, USA, announces the new QuickSwitch Model 6267 dual-channel LC duplex A/B switch. The two channels of all fiber optic switching support Gigabit data rates. The Model 6267 allows IT Managers to share a single port interface device connected to the COMMON port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports, for each channel. The Model 6267 is configured in a slim rack-mount design. The unit is enclosed in a 1U, full rack size, black anodized chassis and fits perfectly in a standard 19” rack.

All of the switch ports are transparent to all data. The Model 6267 incorporates MEMS-based mirror/prism switch technology that supports Gigabit data rates. The internal circuitry insures isolation between networks and devices. The switch channels are independent of each other. All fiber ports are LC Duplex, multimode, 62.5/125 micron and support a wavelength of 850 nm. The port connectors are (6) LC duplex connectors, three connectors are labeled A, B and COMMON for each channel. The Model 6267 features optical data throughput scalability.

This is a manually operated switch with control via a two front-panel pushbuttons. The front-panel LED’s display the switch position and power status. For reliability, the Model 6267 retains the last switch position in the event of a power loss and continues to pass data.

The standard power supply provided with the unit is a UL approved 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz wall mount unit. It supplies 12VDC 500 mA to the unit and has a 2-prong, US, non-polarized plug.

An optional wide range power option is available for the Model 6267. The catalog number is 517277. This module is a CE, RoHS, and UL listed table mount unit that provides 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz. This module features an IEC 60320 C14 inlet and is ideal for international applications.

The Model 6267 is available for export worldwide. The dimensions of this rack-mount configured switch are 19.0” W x 1.75” H x 8.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm). The switch weighs approximately 4.3 lbs. (2.0 kg).
