(614) Days of Summer is a film about Columbus Hip-Hop through 2 concerts: SummerJam 614 and the Polar Showcase. The 100 seat screening presented by Pulse Radio Films, Living Lavish Productions, and a Constant Forge will be held 7pm at Gateway Film Center on December 15, 2013. Featured artists include The 3rd, JRawls, ArmondWakeUp, Ceezar, Cocky Club, Luxury League, Fabrashay, Ella Star and more. “A recurring theme I get, listening as a DJ, and being involved with entertainment here in the city is the lack of support for the artists,” said the film’s director, and owner of Pulse Radio, Rich Nyce. “I decided to do a back story and focus on specific artists that are making things happen in the city. The motivation behind this project is to bring people together, let people see how dope Columbus is, and what we represent. Hopefully, viewers get a sense of good Hip-Hop and artists that are really into their craft, and not just about the fame and glory. Behind every movement, there’s a story. I just wanted to capture those moments and share them.”
