)-- Alissa Brotman O’Neill, DO, RPVI, FACOS, was recently honored with the Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in the Health & Medical — Vascular Surgeons category after receiving high praise from satisfied patients and earning a 4-star rating.

“One of the most important aspects of being a physician is listening to my patients,” says Dr. Brotman O’Neill, a vascular surgeon who operates out of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Listening to her patients has paid off, earning Dr. Brotman O’Neill the prestigious Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award.
“It is really satisfying to receive this award because it is my patients who make my job so rewarding,” says Dr. Brotman O’Neill. “I love what I do. I love my work and the details of each operation. The operating room has always been a place of ‘Zen’ for me.”
As a specialist in vascular surgery, Dr. Brotman O’Neill also has a venous center in her office. “Patients can get treatment of their venous disease and varicose veins right in our office,” she says.
Dr. Brotman O’Neill also specializes in aortic aneurysms, carotid disease and peripheral arterial disease, as well as access for dialysis. “Many of the surgeries we do are done now through minimally invasive means, however open surgery is required sometimes.”

About Alissa Brotman O’Neill, DO:
Dr. Brotman O’Neill completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude, before moving to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ/SOM) for medical school. She did her general surgery residency at UMDNJ/SOM and then her vascular surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai-Englewood Division under the mentorship of world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Herbert Dardik. Dr. Brotman O’Neill is a leader in the field of vascular surgery, started the “in-office venous and ultrasound center” at RWJ Hamilton and has lectured nationally within her specialty. She was the first to perform the ClariVein® procedure in Mercer County and continues to do clinical research in venous disease. Dr. Brotman O’Neill also remains a volunteer faculty member as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Rowan/SOM.
